Consultation Bookings — Zouaghi Law PLLC

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") apply when you book and pay for a consultation with Zouaghi Law PLLC (the "Firm") through the Firm's website or a payment link. By booking and paying, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. The consultation

The consultation is a one-on-one session of the length you select at booking (for example, 30 or 60 minutes), held by video or telephone. It consists of an initial assessment of your situation and recommended next steps. It is not a full legal analysis, a written legal opinion, or a review of documents, unless the Firm expressly agrees otherwise in writing. The Firm's attorney is admitted to practice in the State of New York. The consultation does not constitute advice on the law of any other jurisdiction.

2. No attorney-client relationship

Booking, paying for, or attending a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship for any ongoing matter. An attorney-client relationship for further legal work arises only when you and the Firm both sign a written engagement letter. Until then, the Firm will not take any action on your behalf and does not monitor any deadlines or time limits that may affect your rights; you remain responsible for them. Information you share in the consultation is treated as confidential as required by the rules governing prospective clients. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details before the consultation.

3. Conflicts of interest

The Firm checks for conflicts of interest using the information you provide when booking. You agree to provide complete and accurate names of all persons and entities involved in your matter. If a conflict prevents the Firm from holding the consultation, the Firm will tell you promptly and refund your fee in full.

4. Fee and payment

The consultation fee is shown at booking, in US dollars, and is payable in full at the time of booking by card through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your payment is subject to Stripe's terms, and the Firm does not store your card details. Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or other charges. The fee covers the consultation only; any further legal work is subject to a separate engagement letter and fee agreement.

The fee is a flat fee for the consultation and for the Firm's reservation of the time slot you select. It is earned in full by the Firm when you book, because the Firm commits that time to you and turns away other work.

5. Cancellations, missed appointments and refunds

Because the fee is earned at booking, it is non-refundable. This applies if you cancel after booking, do not attend, or arrive late. A late arrival shortens the session, which will still end at the scheduled time.

You may reschedule your consultation free of charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled time. If you do not give at least 24 hours' notice, the booking cannot be rescheduled and the fee will not be refunded.

The only exceptions are the following: (a) if the Firm cancels the consultation, cannot hold it, or is prevented from doing so by a conflict of interest, you may choose a full refund or a new time at no cost; and (b) where a refund is required by applicable law or professional rules.

6. Payment disputes

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact the Firm before disputing it with your bank or card issuer, so that we can try to resolve it directly. The Firm may provide the booking record and these Terms to the payment processor in response to any dispute.

7. Website information

Information on the Firm's website is general information, not legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship.

8. Mandatory law

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have under mandatory law that applies to you and cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Governing law and disputes

To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute relating to them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

10. Changes to these Terms

The Firm may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in effect when you book are the Terms that apply to your booking.
